The Mission of the Clinton Public Library is to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment, offer programs and services to benefit all ages, and connect people to resources with the goal of enriching our diverse community.
The Clinton Public Library offers an extensive range of multimedia collections and services, accessible both onsite and online, as well as through interlibrary loan. The library’s main circulating collection includes a wide variety of materials for all ages, such as books, periodicals, music CDs, DVDs, audiobooks, and reference materials.
Digital resources are easily accessible, such as the Libby app, providing access to eBooks, eMagazines, and eAudiobooks from both the Rivershare and Bridges libraries. Enjoy movies and documentaries online with the library’s subscription to Kanopy, and explore free music streaming and downloads through Freegal.
In addition to traditional items, the library offers non-traditional materials for checkout, including pickleball kits, book club kits, memory kits, cookie cutters, cake pans, Fitbits, and museum and zoo passes.
On the second floor, you’ll find the Genealogy and Local History Department as well as the Makerspace. The Genealogy Department offers a wealth of resources, including indexes, microfilm, periodicals, and books, perfect for researching family history. The Makerspace features tools and classes that enable patrons to complete projects without the cost of equipment, including Cricut and Silhouette cutting machines, button makers, embroidery and sewing machines, laminators, and 3D printers.
